This year was a big year for the organisation which boasts
10,500,000+ members and has had a huge amount of success on numerous issues. It
has campaigned against SOPA, corruption in India and the proposed Murdoch
takeover of BSkyB. The organisation is part of a global democratic awakening
that is happening right now. Organisations like Avaaz are what make it
difficult for governments to hide shady deals, in an instant Avaaz can rally
millions of people to a desired cause.
And it has only just begun.
